The goal is to create a system where you can choose an evil option immediately followed by a noble one, and have that still make sense for your character and their outlook on life. Instead of a simple good vs evil gradient, Broken Roads will have your actions constantly shift your alignment on a 360-degree chart based on four areas of moral philosophy: uitilitarianism, nihilism, machiavellianism and humanism. It's also worth mentioning that Broken Roads will be using a bit of a different morality system than usual. What all of this looks like in action, as well as what sort of atmosphere Broken Roads is going for, that you can find out through the recent gameplay trailer. As you might imagine given its influences, Broken Roads will have you chat up a variety of unique characters, undertake quests that can be solved in different ways depending on your character's philosophical leanings, explore a hand-crafted world in search of secrets or good ol' fashioned loot, and naturally, fight against all sorts of enemies in turn-based combat.
